Trustees 2020/21

  • Greg Taylor

Greg was one of the founders of the District Schools’ FA set up and of the Trust. A former Bristol Rovers player, Greg is a keen football enthusiast, although his taste in teams is questionable (he is an avid Manchester United fan). Greg is now Headteacher at King Edward’s Primary School.

  • David Redfern

David has been involved in the Trust ever since his son represented the schools district team.  David’s experience as a parent encouraged him to become more involved in the Trust and his experience with sports and leisure for Wiltshire council gives the Trust a good insight in how to help the community best.

  • Jo Goulding

Jo is another parent of a son who plays for the District team.  She is also HR Manager for a successful business in Bristol as well as a true South African, particularly when it comes to the rugby.  Jo has been involved in the Trust for many years, even instigating the Pop-up cafe initiative.

  • Shane Kiely

Shane is a coach and safeguarding officer for the trust. His work involves teaching PE to a cluster of primary schools in the Bradford on Avon region, and he is also a qualified gymnastics coach.

  • Ray Li

Ray is a restaurateur and former chairman of Bath City Youth. His skills in the kitchen and on the coaching field have been invaluable over the years, and he now spends his time juggling his son’s blossoming golf career, with running a business and helping the Trust.

  •  Kevin Okell

Kevin is a local entrepreneur and is a Director at Altus, the Trust’s main sponsor at present. Kevin became involved with the trust when his son, James, aged 10 was asked to join the District squad. Since then Kevin has accompanied teams to Germany and Spain to help with their progress.

  • Richard Smale

Richard is an NHS programme director, and former Chair of Keynsham Town Football Club.  Richard’s skills and enthusiasm make him a valuable component of the Trust’s success.

  • Chris Lyons

Chris Lyons is the founder of Systopia, a successful cashless systems business based in Keynsham.  Chris has been a major supporter of the Trust and operations were based alongside Chris for many years.  Indeed, his charity over the years has enabled the Trust to flourish.

  • David Burston

Dave is based at Wellsway School where he is heads up the B&NES School Sport Partnership, working with schools in the local area.  David’s connections and expertise with local schools is vital to the operation of the Trust and its objectives.
